Handing Over Ceremony for "UNDP Integrated Border Management Project" (12 November 2024)

On 12th November, Ambassador Okuda participated in the handover ceremony of essential security and health equipment valued at 21 million Vatu to the Government of Vanuatu. The ceremony marked a commendable milestone for the Japan-funded UNDP Integrated Border Management Project, which aim to strengthen border control. Mr. Jayson Rakau, CEO, Airports Vanuatu Ltd was also present at the ceremony to extend his gratitude to the Government of Japan as well as to commend the UNDP for its successful implementation of the project. The equipment package, delivered to Bauerfield International Airport, includes CCTV surveillance systems, "Tensa" barriers, air purifiers, and related health safety equipment.
