The civil engineering technology and know-how used in this project has been developed over many years by the Japanese company in charge of the project and make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life of the people of Santo and the surrounding areas, as well as to the further development of local industry.
The Government of Japan will continue to provide assistance in the important areas of climate change and infrastructure development for Vanuatu.
